Nahargarh Biological Park Jaipur
Hello, Friends!
Thank you for visiting our website. Let us introduce ourselves. We are Nahargarh Biological Park, a unique wildlife sanctuary dedicated to conserving Rajasthan’s rich biodiversity and natural heritage. Established in 2016, we are situated near the historic Nahargarh Fort on the outskirts of Jaipur. Our park was created as a safe haven for a wide variety of species, including Bengal tigers, Asiatic lions, leopards, bears, deer, and an impressive array of bird species.
Starting with a modest area, we have since expanded, covering over 80 hectares to offer more natural, open habitats for animals. Our mission is to create spaces that simulate natural settings as closely as possible, allowing animals to thrive and visitors to connect with the wonders of wildlife. Our team continuously works on enhancing enclosures to ensure animals enjoy a comfortable, engaging environment that meets their behavioral needs.
One of our special features is our commitment to wildlife conservation and animal welfare. Through sustainable practices such as waste management, rainwater harvesting, and plastic-free initiatives, we strive to maintain the park’s natural beauty and cleanliness, which helps attract more than a million visitors each year. Our dedicated team also conducts breeding programs to support endangered species and foster a healthy animal population.
As a center for conservation education, we actively organize programs for students, NGOs, and volunteers, spreading awareness about wildlife protection and conservation. Throughout the year, we host engaging activities, including wildlife week celebrations, youth clubs, nature camps, and eco-awareness programs. With support from the Central Zoo Authority, we’ve also developed a live feed unit to support animal care and health, helping us reduce animal mortality rates to under 5%.
Our Animal Adoption Program offers an opportunity for the public to support our efforts, with contributions going directly to the care and well-being of the animals. Each donation plays a valuable role in maintaining our high standards of care and helps us move closer to self-sufficiency in managing the park’s needs.
At Nahargarh Biological Park, we take pride in being a sanctuary where people and animals can connect. We welcome visitors with eco-friendly facilities, including battery-operated vehicles, shaded seating, clean drinking water, and picnic areas. Together with your support, we look forward to continuing our mission of conserving wildlife and inspiring future generations to protect and cherish our natural world.
